Friday 13th, Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th July 2007

We were ready come rain or shine!
Though it rained on the Friday and Sunday evenings, it couldn't spoil the entertainment and after a blustery start to the morning, causing some last minute rearrangements of stalls on the field, the sun shone on us on Saturday afternoon so it was business as usual in Birdsedge... see below...

All the finalists were brilliant. We had two singer-songwriters (one with a band) and a classical tenor, a classical flautist and a singer-guitarist. It was almost impossible to decide which one was best because they were all fantastic. Finally out of five (one cancelled at the last minute), the judges whittled it down to two and then got stuck. Eventually, instead of one winner, we had two, with the studio donating an extra day of recording time.
Winners: Ben Ruddlesden (left) and Harry Rowland (right).
Both win a full day in a recording studio.

And the band Carmichael, who played while the judges deliberated, were brilliant. We hope to invite them back again.
